Q2 PERFORMANCE COMBINE (July 2024)

Q3 Performance Combine Testing Day Recap – July 2024

At Hoops Sports Performance, we pride ourselves on helping athletes reach their peak performance through personalized testing and training programs. Our Q3 Performance Combine Testing Day in July 2024 was a fantastic showcase of our commitment to athlete development. Held across two locations, Bernie Mullane Sports Complex and our Castle Hill HQ gym, the event was packed with energy, determination, and impressive performances.

The Day Begins at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex

We kicked off the day bright and early at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, where athletes gathered to put their speed and vertical jump abilities to the test. Using advanced tools like VALD Performance equipment, we captured precise data to measure improvements and set benchmarks for future training.

- Speed Testing: Athletes sprinted through laser-timed drills designed to assess their acceleration and top-end speed. These metrics are vital in basketball, where quick bursts of movement can make all the difference on the court.

- Vertical Jump Testing: Explosive power was on full display as athletes tackled vertical jump tests. This measure of lower-body strength and explosiveness plays a critical role in rebounding, blocking, and dunking.

The excitement and camaraderie among the athletes created an inspiring atmosphere. Parents and coaches cheered on as each participant gave it their all, striving to outperform their personal bests.

Strength and Conditioning at Castle Hill HQ

Following a successful morning session, the action moved to our Castle Hill HQ gym for strength and conditioning testing. This portion of the combine focused on assessing the athletes' overall physical readiness and identifying areas for growth.

- Strength Testing: Athletes tackled key lifts and exercises under the guidance of our expert coaches. These tests not only measured raw strength but also highlighted functional movement patterns essential for basketball performance.

- Conditioning Assessments: To round out the day, we evaluated each athlete's endurance and recovery capabilities, ensuring they’re equipped to handle the demands of competitive play.

Our Castle Hill facility provided the perfect environment for these assessments, with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive coaching team dedicated to pushing athletes to their potential.

Why Combine Testing Matters

Performance combines like this are a cornerstone of our training philosophy at Hoops Sports Performance. By collecting and analyzing data on speed, vertical jump, strength, and conditioning, we can:

- Create tailored training programs that address individual needs.

- Track progress over time to celebrate wins and identify areas for improvement.

- Help athletes gain a competitive edge for game-day performance.

What’s Next?

The insights gained from this Q3 Performance Combine Testing Day will guide our athletes as they continue their training journeys with us. Whether it’s refining technique, building strength, or improving speed, our team is here to support every step of the way.

We’re thrilled with the turnout and results from this event and look forward to seeing how these athletes grow and excel in the months to come. Stay tuned for our next combine testing day – an opportunity for even more athletes to take their game to the next level!
